Billy Brooks (1926 – 2003) was the inventor and held the patent of the skoonum horn – a double-barreled trumpet (read this).
Brooks was one of the many great trumpetists who played with Ray. Together, they even went back to the early to mid Fifties.

Ray Charles co-produced this album, and played keyboards on this track.
