(Read this if you want to understand a) how the conga, drums, finger snaps, and bass guitar were synchronized with each other to a precision of better than 15 milliseconds, b) that Ray Charles’ finger snap time deltas were less than 5 milliseconds, c) meaning that the deviation from the canonical MB metronome beat times was less than a world record breaking +/- 2.5 milliseconds).
