The Sanremo Songfestival is a long running and hugely popular contest for songwriters, who always get some help from local and international stars. Ray turned his contribution into a triumphant interpretation masterclass. It’s remarkable that it didn’t get wider exposure.

The original title is Gli Amori; the song was written by Toto Cutagno.
