Ray Charles Presents American Music Award To Charlie Rich (1975)
Since 1974, the American Music Awards show honors artists and recordings from Pop/Rock, Soul R&B and country music. Awards are presented in each category for favorite male, female, group, single & album. The winners are determined by the record buying public. The show was produced by Dick Clark.
At the 1975 editon of the AMA, on 18 February, Diana Trask and Ray Charles presented the award for the “Favorite Country Male” category to Charlie Rich.
Some of the other winners were John Denver, Diana Ross, and Olivia Newton-John.
